ON NOVEMBER 9th, THE WORLD PREMIERE OF TWO UKRAINIAN FILMS WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE PÖFF | TALLINN BLACK NIGHTS FILM FESTIVAL IN TALLINN: «LESSONS OF TOLERANCE» AND «OXYGEN STATION».

On November 9th, one of the leading «A»-class film festivals, PÖFF | Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, will be the first to present two Ukrainian films created with the support of the Ukrainian State Film Agency on European screens.

  • The intolerant comedy Lessons of Tolerance by Arkadiy Nepytaliuk premieres in the «Critics' Choice» section.

According to the film's plot, an ordinary Ukrainian family agrees to participate in the European integration program Lessons of Tolerance to cope with financial difficulties. But among other challenges, they are also worried about what their neighbors will say.

The production was implemented by SOLAR MEDIA Entertainment.

Cinema distribution is by FILM.UA Distribution.

  • As part of the main competition program of the film festival, there will be a premiere of the full-length poetic drama «Oxygen Station», directed by Ivan Tymchenko.

According to the plot of the film, the events take place after Mustafa's 300-day hunger strike, which made him famous all over the world. The exile in Zyryanka is just one of the trials for the fighters for the rights of the Crimean Tatar people, but it could be the last...

The film was co-produced by Ukraine, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia.

The production was realized by Digital Platform / Svitlofor FILM in partnership with Silk Films, and also Flying Colors Pictures, HOBAB, and Státní fond kinematografie.

Since 2014, PÖFF | Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival has been included in the list of 15 A-category film festivals.

The festival will take place from November 3rd to 19th 2023.
